For all the books that are centered around friends, teachers, and siblings, there aren't many for parent appreciation! I love the idea of this, it is a valuable lesson for a child to learn to not take one's parents for granted, because it will enrich all the other relationships in their life if they do. Plus they might behave better if they know how hard their parents work for them which is always a perk! -SB
